Faroese is the spoken on the Faroese Islands by ~40,000 people. It's a
Germanic language. Nouns have four cases:
nominative, accusative, dative and genitive. Faroese nouns can have one of three grammatical
genders: masculine, feminine or neuter. There are two main declension paradigms for
each gender: strong and weak nouns, and these are further divided into subclasses.
