Catalan is spoken in North Eastern Spain and a part of Sardinia. It's a Romance language, proceeding from the Latin language. There are 4 million native speakers and some 9 million people using it. Catalan nouns are conjugated in singular and plural. There are two genders, masculine and feminine.
